A SPLENDID TIME IS GURANTEED FOR ALL............

Twelve of the County’s premier arts organizations collaborate in an unprecedented county-wide festival exploring the rich tapestry of human experience through unique and captivating performances. Performance Sonoma, an eight week-long performing arts celebration, will take place this fall at a variety of venues across the county. Coordinated by the Arts Council of Sonoma County with support from Community Foundation Sonoma County through the James Irvine Foundation’s Communities Advancing the Arts Initiative and the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, Performance Sonoma will spotlight the extraordinary breadth and depth of performing arts in the region while aiming to engage and entertain a culturally broad audience base.

Focused around the theme of “crossing borders”, each participating organization delves into vast interpretations of this significant historical and contemporary topic in a unique and exciting way. The collective theme has proven to be fertile ground, inspiring subject matter that extends from geographical, gender, ethnic, and cultural borders to generational and economic borders spanning the past, present and future.
